About Us

Annie New, Director (BEd)

Annie has over 20 years teaching experience within primary schools working from Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6. She has held the posts of subject manager, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Deputy Head.  She has also worked strategically around issues of parental engagement and school improvement with both primary and secondary schools as an Extended Schools Cluster Manager.  She has a passion for education and its potential for all young people. The recognition of the importance of parental engagement has informed much of her work as both a class teacher and a school manager.  She is currently studying for an MA with Christ Church Canterbury University focusing on critical friendship, school improvement and effective leadership.

Sue Woolmore

Sue Woolmore has been working in child protection for 25 years. She has held professional roles at local authority, regional and national level, in both the statutory and voluntary sectors.  Sue is also an Independent Chair of a Local Safeguarding Children Board.

Sue provides workshops and training to multi agency groups, focusing on the issue of working with families exhibiting ‘disguised compliance’ and a resistance to professional intervention. This also extends into the impact of fear and stress on infants’ mental health, resilience and immune system, often in the context of neglect and domestic violence.
